Social and Cultural Factors of Loneliness among Youth

This article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of loneliness among student youth in Kabardino-Balkaria in the context of significant historical-cultural and social transformations. The research is based on empirical data from 2020 and 2025 and analyzes the dynamics of changes in the perception of loneliness, its prevalence, and the key factors influencing the formation of feelings of alienation and social isolation. The study focuses on traditional family structures, ethnocultural values, and the modern information and communication environment, which contribute to the development of loneliness and may serve as resources for social support. The results of the study emphasize the importance of developing regionally adapted preventive strategies aimed at strengthening social bonds and enhancing the psycho-emotional well-being of youth, which is crucial for the sustainable development of the region’s society.
