PKP PN

The Journal of Asia Social Science Practice (JASSP) is deeply committed to the permanent availability and preservation of scholarly research. We recognize that digital content must be actively managed to ensure it remains accessible to future generations of scholars, regardless of technological changes or unforeseen events.

Archiving Policy: PKP Preservation Network

To guarantee the long-term survival of our published content, JASSP participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This digital preservation service is developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) specifically for OJS journals.

Current Archiving Status

  • Status: Active & Depositing

  • Description: Content is automatically deposited into the Global LOCKSS Network via PKP PN.

How it works

  • Distributed Archiving: The PKP PN uses LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries.

  • Dark Archive: This creates a "dark archive" of the journal. If JASSP were to cease publication or go offline for any reason, the PKP PN ensures that the content can be restored and remain accessible to the public.

  • Manifest Registry: The journal's preservation status can be verified through the PKP PN Registry.

Self-Archiving Policy

In addition to our central archiving, authors are encouraged to deposit their published Articles (Version of Record) in institutional repositories or other subject-based repositories immediately upon publication.
