Vol. 1 No. 1 (2025): Education and Sustainability
Education and Sustainability

The Journal of Asia Social Science Practice (eISSN 3079-7659) invites submissions for an upcoming special issue on “Education and Sustainability”, focusing on the critical role of education in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) across diverse social, cultural, and environmental contexts. This issue aims to explore innovative educational practices, policies, and frameworks that promote sustainable mindsets, equitable access to quality education, and lifelong learning for building sustainable societies.

Theme Overview

Education is the foundation of sustainable development. It equips individuals with the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes necessary to address global challenges such as climate change, social inequality, and economic instability. In a rapidly changing world, education must evolve to prepare future generations for the complexities of sustainable living and responsible global citizenship.

This special issue seeks to highlight how education can be a powerful tool for fostering sustainability at both individual and societal levels. It welcomes interdisciplinary perspectives that examine the relationship between education and sustainability in diverse educational settings — from early childhood education to higher education and adult learning programs. Contributions from scholars, educators, policymakers, and practitioners are encouraged to provide insights into the transformative potential of education in promoting sustainable development.

Key Topics of Interest
